This bicycle and barge tour starts in the southern Dutch city of Maastricht, crosses into Belgium and leads all the way to Paris. We cycle along tranquil riverbanks and canals, country roads and old railway tracks. The terrain is often flat but there are some hills, too — just to keep you in good shape! Our route includes Ardennes forests, medieval villages and towns, some important old castles and even the birthplace of the French composer Claude Débussy. We also visit a quaint old village which was once home to Cézanne, Pissarro and van Gogh; some of the important artists in the Impressionist movement. Our journey includes a visit to the stunning gardens of the famous palace of Versailles, once the residence of King Louis IV. We complete this very special tour by sailing into the heart of magnificent Paris along the river Seine. So if you like to a tour with a taste for adventure, don’t hesitate to join us!
